Derek MacKay, Minister for Transport and Islands and Andrew Davidson from Transport Scotland, took time out from their busy schedules to visit Dee-Organ (Mallatite), to witness the commissioning of a new TrafficJet traffic sign printer. This printer is the first of its type in Scotland, capable of producing permanent road traffic signs with a twelve-year warranty.

Dee-Organ (Mallatite) is Scotland’s largest manufacturer and distributor of road traffic signs, employing 20 people and is based in Inchinnan, which is part of Mr MacKay’s constituency.

Whilst on the tour the minister got to know more about the Dee-Organ (Mallatite) portfolio with TransCalm, the exciting new innovation of a speed responsive road hump that can alter its firmness based on the velocity of a vehicle, attracting his attention.
