The bolts have a minimum tensile strength of 70N/mm2 and should be tightened up to the adequate torque load needed for the application. We have tested our range of clips against EN12899 using 18kN (a copy of the BSI report can be obtained if required). Bolts used are M8 grade 304 stainless steel A2 70 which have a minimum breaking torque of 32Nm.
Note
NEVER USE BOLTS WITHOUT THE WASHERS SUPPLIED, OR THE FIXING WILL NOT REMAIN SECURE.
WHERE INSERT PLATES ARE SUPPLIED WITH CLIPS THEY SHOULD ALWAYS BE USED.
